lost media
i’m not good enough to call myself an actual data hoarder, but i sometimes have foresight enough to download media that i enjoy, and sometimes that media becomes lost to the world. the following entries are, sadly, the only copies in the world that i’m aware of.

some time in 2021, if my memory serves and the username makes sense, someone posted some music recordings to reddit. i forget the exact subreddit. it could have been r/seashanties, or maybe r/filk. they were all original works (some were original lyrics on previously-existing tunes, some where wholly original afaik) in the capstan song / sea shanty style. she had a great voice and i loved her songs. encouraged by the community response, she posted some of these songs to spotify. shortly thereafter, she vanished. reddit and spotify accounts deleted. once in a while you’ll see people posting questions on reddit, asking after their memory of these songs, but nobody seems to know what happened. either way, it’s good music.
i’m not sure if these 5 are the only ones she posted, but they’re the only ones i have.
